Gumbet Turkey - Anyone been there?

I used sterling and found better value. Gumbet is a very english resort. I stayed in Bitez which I thought was much nicer. As a blonde female the amount of male attention was way too much and I returned a firm feminist! One thing I can recommend are the hairdressers - cheap and good!

I had completely the opposite experience with constant harassment (7 letters in one day)and errors which led to them causing major difficulties with my mortgage company due to mis-informing them as to my insurance.

Have loan in my own right, bank have informed my husband, Breach of Confidentiality

Re: Have loan in my own right, bank have informed my husband, Breach of Confidentiali I would be disgusted at anyone handing out details of my personal financial arrangements. Mentioned this thread to a work colleague who lives there. She is saving like mad to get out, even though she is in negative equity.

Nell McCafferty on Late Late Show

She was a complete embarrassment - Leo Varadkar was restrained in what he said in rebuttal, he could really have gone for it.

    Eircom or Esat BT

Esat BT can install the line but in practice don't choose to do this. Eircom have an obligation to do so, and very often there are free promotions so you could it for free and switch afterwards if you wish. I think most operators including eircom have minimum contract time

    Smith Property Management

From some of the horror stories on here they're not the worst. I live in Dublin 15 and the services are generally very good and emails responded to quickly. Not so great on the phone, and useless after hours.

    Pet hate - txt spk

What surprises is is why people use text speak when it is quicker to use predictive text and write normally using proper spelling. I must admit to being somewhat of a pedant regarding proper use of spelling and grammar. My pet hate is the amount of people using this site that have tennants...

Worth having a landline for me?

there's normally a deal offering free connection with eircom, and then it's €25 (and some odd cent) a month. You can then switch your calls to anyone you want or take up a broadband package. If you live in an area where you can get telephony with ntl, it's even cheaper. I have broadband...

That's even funnier. I could opt to be a tumbler, a chief (village), a beachcomber - but I still can't be a manager!

Drop down list of occupations from insurance website

I’ve just been looking to renew my car insurance and have been looking for quotations on a couple of online sites. One of the questions relates to occupation – fair enough – I have a pretty straightforward managerial job. But no, in the list of occupations, they don’t cater for anything quite...

3 weeks in Oz-where to go?

I've been lots of times, mainly to Perth, but have done a bit of travelling. Last time, flew to Alice Springs and spent a few days there and then took a bus (4 hours) to Ayers Rock which was amazing. Also travelled north from Perth to Jurien and the Pinnacles Desert and south to Margaret...

How is life in castle curragh heath or vale D15

You should be able to get somewhere nicer in Blanchardstown at the moment. I sometimes pop up to the Spar near Castlecurragh and it's consistently populated by people wearing pyjamas and last time I even witnessed a drugs deal at 5pm! Personally I would caution against Ongar and Clonee if you...
