Removing specific result from Google search

Hi. Hoping someone can offer some help. Mine is very unusual name, such thatwhen sometime type it into google, all the results clearly relate to me personally. In the last few weeks, a friend has brought my attention to one such result that's listed - a reference to an email address I used...

    Ireland to Los Angeles

I got some help on these pages in advance of a recent trip to LA so I thought I'd add my own views to possibly help others who might be contemplating the same trip. I hadn't been convinced either way by the various pros and cons offered in relation to the usual transatlantic providers (AL...

    cancelled courses

AFAIK, anyone unemployed is free to register as such and though they may not be entitled to payment, they may become entitled to certain courses depending on how long they've been signing on.

    Send child to private school

Working your way through college isn't easy but why should it be made harder than it has to be? Working part-time is all good and well but really why do it if you don't need to? Your time would be much better spent concentrating on your studies. For mainly financial reasons, I didn't even...

Baggage allowance using Aer Lingus + BA to USA

The BM option they offered on their site involved lengthy stopovers at Heathrow both ways. so I rang them and asked for alternatives. Hence the AL alternative. Will check again whether there are implications for baggage. Thanks for the heads up.

Here’s how the unemployment trap works

There are nine possible grounds for discrimination. Perhaps you could clarify which one you think employers would be exposed to in the circumstances you describe.

Here’s how the unemployment trap works

Hard to say. Maybe if you offered a reasoned argument you'd find out.

Baggage allowance using Aer Lingus + BA to USA

The (electronic) ticket says Dublin to LA via London.

Baggage allowance using Aer Lingus + BA to USA

Are you sure about this? I'm in a similar position to the OP (Dublin to US via London) and was advised to the contrary by the (Air New Zealand) operator with whom I booked.

I defy anyone to watch the Naked Gun or Airplane and NOT laugh.

Here’s how the unemployment trap works

This is nonsense. Any evidence in support of this view is anecdotal and comes from disaffected unsuccessful job applicants who, quite naturally, would prefer to believe that their failure to land a job is someone else's fault.

Here’s how the unemployment trap works

You seem to think that a company's role when it comes to recruitment is to go to all possible lengths to understand the skills of all potential candidates. This is unrealistic. The measure of any succesful recruitment is the extent to which the person selected susbsequently works effectively...

Here’s how the unemployment trap works

That's at the heart of it. Regretably, some skills are effectively redundant (or alt least in much less demand). You can speak at length about how unfair this is but it really doesn't alter the reality. Education is an investment which, like any other, doesn't guarantee any particular...

Any issues with Trellis or fencing extension on top of garden wall ?

Why would putting a trellis on the inside of existing boundary be so objectionable? Particularly when the alternative would be planting a bush or tree that would grow significantly higher?

Ahern clocks up €270k expenses since retirement

In what circumstances, I wonder, would a former Taoiseach require two secretarial assistants. They are private citizens with some residual public functions but hardly enough I would have thought, to require full-time secretarial support.

    Log Cabin V Steel Shed - Advice/Recommendations

We got a home office from Abwood in North Wicklow about seven years ago. It cost 10k for a 15ft by 10ft struture. That included all insulation, plastering, internal wiring, sockets, etc. We were responsible for getting all wiring as far as the office and for making the physical connection...

    Rose of Tralee betting

Not quite right. The TV ad at the time went: (Tom Riordan playing the farmer) "that's a grand cake, Nora. You can't beat your own milk and eggs!" The farmer's wife smiled knowingly. For she knew, as did we, that the cake mix had been bought in the local supermarket. How we laughed...
