How did people actually "lose" their tracker mortgages?

I never really "lost" my tracker as I took my mortgage on a fixed rate, however when that fixed rate finished, I should have been offered the tracker rate. I don't fully understand this myself and hence why when the tracker "scandal" came out I checked my mortgage paperwork, saw nothing about a...

Appeal to UB to remove ex from tracker?

Backstory is I took the mortgage in 2007, in 2008 we split up, one of the issues was financial struggles though it wasn't the only reason. Ulster Redress amount lodged, then alot taken back out??

Thank you SaySomething, that is excellent. I had guessed my redress would have been approx 6-8K so 19K is very unexpected. I logged into their "manage my mortgage" account and it shows the new monthly payment, it is 400€ less than what I was paying. Thanks for your quick response!

Ulster Redress amount lodged, then alot taken back out??

Just wondering if anyone can help me understand this as UB haven't been helpful so far! I got the letter last week to state I was part of the tracker mortgage examination, I am very lucky in that they have already lodged an amount into my account as the "redress" I assume. There is a credit...

Hi All, I am completely new to all of this tracker mortgage stuff, I didn't pay much heed as I was sure it didn't affect me. However today I received a registered letter from UB to say that my "mortgage subaccount was impacted as you may have not received the benefit of the lowest tracker margin...
