What has "No Frontiers" got against Ryanair.

I agree. Everything was "courtesy of" and "complimentary" on No Frontiers tonight. And Ryanair even got a mention! I thought they might suggest flying with Aer Lingus to Rome and getting the ferry over to Sardinia :D I'm sure it's all just a coincidence though

Sorry, that is almost illegible - I can't get my quotes to work

Advice please -I think our layover in Newark with CO is too short?

2h25 you should be fine really ... get a seat towards the front of the plane so your off first can make a bit of a difference. EvilDoctorK, thankfully we are seated in row 9, so that should help. I am going to try and be a bit more optimistic about it I think :D it's within the "minimum...

Advice please -I think our layover in Newark with CO is too short?

Enoxy, I would certainly be relieved if we got put up in a hotel rather than spending the night in the departure lounge. I think I have been using no-frills airlines for too long, it didn't even occur to me that Continental might do that. Minkydog, unfortunately we are flying on a week day and...

Advice please -I think our layover in Newark with CO is too short?

Thanks redchariot. Yes our connection is the 15.45 from Newark. If we got on the 18.10 it would not be the end of the world but it would leave us arriving at our accommodation very late, making the entire trip at least 22 hours long door to door . Only 3 children in our group, but the...

Advice please -I think our layover in Newark with CO is too short?

I have booked flights with Continental to Orlando via Newark in October. We have a 2 hour 25 minute layover in Newark. No problem, I thought - just a nice amount of time to collect the bags and stretch our legs. However I am gutted to discover that our flight (CO127, leaving Dub at 10.55am) does...

    Seat Selection on Continental Airlines

We are travelling October too, maybe we're on the same flight! Thanks for all the useful comments. It's our first time to Florida and I can't wait.

    Seat Selection on Continental Airlines

That's reassuring Bgirl, thanks. One last thing, do we go through immigration in Dublin or in Newark on the way out? I've heard conflicting reports about this.

    Seat Selection on Continental Airlines

Thanks for that link Bgirl. Prices must vary quite a bit between the different websites. We checked Ebookers too but Expedia were cheaper for our dates. Unfortunately they went up by 100 euros while I was looking at them , otherwise I would have got an even better price. I was also...

    Seat Selection on Continental Airlines

Yes. I can't remember the exact amount but I think it was around a couple of hundred euros less going through expedia. That was on return flights for five of us Dublin - Orlando via Newark.

    Seat Selection on Continental Airlines

Thanks theShark, I found them. Bgirl, thanks for the info, we were allocated premium seats on one leg of the trip.

    Seat Selection on Continental Airlines

Hi, i have booked flights to the US with Continental through expedia.ie. At no stage in the booking process did it give me the option to select our seats. There are 5 of us travelling, 2 adults and 3 kids, so I obviously want to ensure we are seated together. I was expecting the seat selection...

Anyone been to Orlando and skipped Disney

Thanks folks for all the replies. Am feeling quite reassured now that it is ok to give the place a miss but still not miss out. We do intend going to Kennedy space centre and having a look at the stuff on I-Drive, Wonderworks etc. We might do an airboat ride too as well as all the things that...

Anyone been to Orlando and skipped Disney

I am just wondering if anyone has any been to Orlando and avoided the Disney experience entirely. Did you feel you missed out at all? I am in the early planning stages of a Florida trip and I am thinking of just buying the Orlando Flexticket which includes entrance for the 2 Universal parks plus...

    Looking for holiday idea

Yes there are lots of them in europe. De kempervennen seems to be one of the best. There is plenty of things to do but as with all centerparcs I think you have to book your activities in advance.

    Looking for holiday idea

One of the centerparcs in Holland (I think it's de Kempervennen) has an indoor ski slope. Might be good for your children if they have never been skiing before. Also, the european centerparcs are apparently much cheaper than the ones in England, if that's a consideration.

Where would you go for a villa holiday?

Boxthefox, it's interesting that you had such a different experience of Nerja. We didn't find it dirty apart from the amount of dog mess on the pavements. To be fair, I think in Ireland we would have a similar problem with dog mess on the pavements too if we didn't have so much rain to wash it...

Where would you go for a villa holiday?

Hi bonza1, I can imagine that Nerja would be a fantastic place to get married in. I believe it's become quite a popular spot for irish weddings in recent years. I have heard some very good things about Lagos in Portugal too as a resort with a similar feel to Nerja. I have no personal experience...

Where would you go for a villa holiday?

Girlf, Mr. Girasole does all the driving when we are abroad and is well experienced at this stage but he says it's a straightforward drive to and from Malaga airport. Took about an hour I think. We had a sat-nav with us though which is worth its weight in gold.
