    Fitted Wardrobes

I would second Robeplan. They fitted a walk in wardrobe for me a couple of years ago . Very nice genuine people to deal with and did a super job. They also came back to adjust some parts of the job (mirror & shelves placement that I had specified I wanted but when they were done I changed my...

Front Paving:Imprint Concrete v Cobble Lock Etc Suggestions

Hi there, happy to report back we got the driveway done this week and we are delighted with it. I can pass on the company we used if anyone would like. Lads were there over 2 days, dug out garden and laid tarmac first day then back with the resin. You can't walk on it for 24 hours or park on...

Front Paving:Imprint Concrete v Cobble Lock Etc Suggestions

AJ1 I will report back. We have half concrete and half grass right now, don't have the exact sqm on me now but it's costing €7.5k for the full garden and drive (semi detached house) to be done in resin, adding steps to front door and edging, removing existing shrubbery and front wall. From the...

Front Paving:Imprint Concrete v Cobble Lock Etc Suggestions

I am getting my driveway paved with resin bond later this month. Have spent time researching providers and agree with some of the comments here. One guy had a very legit website, apparently had a registered office address (which turned out to be a vague location in West Dublin) but when he...

    Infill vs. back garden

If you look up your relevant councils development plan it should give guidelines for assessment of infill development. It also sounds like backland development (which as far as I remember is defined as sites to the rear of existing building lines). Just as an example I know SDCC have...

EBS refuses switch claiming new Central Bank rules mean I must stay with BoI a year before switch

No they only asked for 6 months mortgage statements. I would have given them the previous 6 months before June if they’d asked for them. And like I said I specifically asked at our first meeting with the advisor if the fact we’d switched to BOI last year would be an issue, and was told no...

EBS refuses switch claiming new Central Bank rules mean I must stay with BoI a year before switch

So EBS responded and said apologies for confusion, but it is actually new EBS policy. When I asked was this policy outlined on their website or somewhere publicly the response was that is is “credit policy coming from our CEO and is an internal document only”. If I hadn’t queried this I could...

EBS refuses switch claiming new Central Bank rules mean I must stay with BoI a year before switch

Thanks for responses. I have asked that they send me on the update from central bank outlining this new rule. Also at my initial meeting with the mortgage advisor I told them we were only with BOI since June 2018 and was told this wasn’t an issue.

EBS refuses switch claiming new Central Bank rules mean I must stay with BoI a year before switch

Currently in the process of doing a straight switch to EBS, am currently with BoI since last June. Got an email with this comment today: “I hope you are well. Central Bank have now introduced new rules preventing lenders taking on switcher mortgages within a 1 year timeframe. The fact you...

Nu Haus / HomeXtend - Renovations

Thanks for the replies. I contacted both, had to send a questionnaire back to NuHaus and they have yet to come back to me on it (only sent early this week). So will probably do an initial consultation and see what we think. HomeXtend - I called into our neighbour and she showed us what...

    Proof Of Funds Query

Hi, from experience you can ask the bank to give you a letter along the lines of 'We understand x has made an offer on a property of €x amount. We can confirm they have funds available to complete on that offer'. So just confirms you can meet the offer made but doesn't give away what...

Nu Haus / HomeXtend - Renovations

Just wondering has anyone any experience or recommendation for either of the companies above? I was at the 'Love Your Home' expo in Citywest at the weekend and they were both exhibiting. I am considering a reorganisation/slight extension for the back of my house comprising open plan kitchen &...

Helpling (website for cleaners) - Any experience?

I've used them a few times, haven't been very impressed sadly. First time I'd booked someone to come on a bank holiday Saturday, the guy texted me the day before saying he couldn't come. I had people coming over that evening so had to do a rush job myself that morning. Next time (so first...
