AIB Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Another little spanner in the works...just rang the helpline. Our cheque was issued but was sent to the address of the mortgage...we don’t live there anymore! All other mortgage correspondence come to where we live and the original cheques came to where we live...so why all of a sudden are they...

AIB AIB has sent the cheque in both names

So they were wrong in sending out the original €1610 split into 2 cheques? I’m just being annoying now, but, seriously, there’s no consistency in the way they are dealing with this and it’s very frustrating!!

AIB AIB has sent the cheque in both names

Our original money of €1610 came out as 2 separate cheques, one half each. Why couldn’t they do the same with these cheques? Seems weird. we have a joint account with AIB so seemed a bit silly that they sent the original out as 2 separate cheques. And now they’re sending joint cheques to others.

AIB If you are not happy with the AIB redress

I suppose. Don’t feel that that would work at that won’t include hours he worked etc, just income, which was obviously enough (alongside mine) to pay our bills (as we didn’t go into arrears) so I’m sure they’ll just dismiss it. :( We asked for a moritorium (Is that the right word) of a 3 months...

    AIB prevailing rate refund calculator

I think the refund should work out at roughly a 4th of what you received in the write down...which is about right with what you received :)

AIB If you are not happy with the AIB redress

How can you prove you were under huge financial stress when you didn’t go into arrears? We managed to keep up our repayments but only because my husband is a taxi driver and literally worked every hour he could! We were under massive stress for years but have no paperwork to back this up so...

AIB How is AIB calculating the interest on the 12%?

How do you argue if you don’t feel you’ve received the right amount? I’m rubbish with figures so this is all completely out of my league!

AIB Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Everything they’ve done from the start of this has been foolish and they’ll keep on being foolish!

I might be being dense here but where did the 10th October 2008 come into it? I must have missed something?

Mortgage repayment GONE UP after capital reduction

Nope, on variable. it doesn’t make sense so is probably wrong but what the hell is going on that firstly, it’s almost impossible to actually talk to a human about mortgages in aib and secondly, when you do finally get through to people they have no idea what they’re doing!

Mortgage repayment GONE UP after capital reduction

Once all this redress mess is finally over with we’d like to move our mortgage. Does anyone have any opinions about which banks to look at for a mortgage and which to avoid!? Is it an easy process?

AIB Can an AIB Prevailing Rate customer try to get a tracker rate and further compensation?

As far as I know they’re literally giving back what they owe and nothing more. It’s disgraceful in my opinion!
