    Thanks Concrete. RedOnion, Could you please tell me how you got the figure of €3500? By switching from 2.9% to 2.6% I'm coming up with a saving of €40 per month or €2400 over the 5 year fixed period, minus the break fee of €1141 leaves a saving of €1259? Is this correct?

    fixed I just phoned KBC there and was quoted a break fee of €1141.23 which is valid for ten working days. He said I would need a property valuation as expected .Will I need the services of a solicitor again does anyone know as I'm not switching mortgage provider?
