Redundant in December, Lump Sum Paid End of January 2020, TaxBack Question

That's great thanks. I just wanted to see that it would make sense to take a redundancy early January rather than late December from a Tax Back point of view. Cheers.

Redundant in December, Lump Sum Paid End of January 2020, TaxBack Question

Hi All, This is a hypothetical question about Tax Back Following Redundancy. Say I am made Redundant and finished working this month ( December 2019 ) but the redundancy Lump Sum wasn't paid till End of January 2020. If i didn't work for all of 2020 following my redundancy would i be entitled...

Minimum Mortgage Amount and Minimum Term

Hi All, We are toying with the idea of selling up in Dublin and buying a house in Kildare. We have approx €320,000 in equity and would be looking buying new house for around €350,000. Allowing for savings and costs involved in selling buying we would probably only be looking for a €30K to...

    What affects your credit report?

See below from www.citizensInformation.ie Credit cards and credit history The ICB records credit card repayment performance on a monthly basis but, due to the nature of credit cards, you also get an additional 30 days before any negative information about your performance is recorded. So...

    What affects your credit report?

I believe a mortgage payment has to be 30 days overdue before is marked as a missed payment on the credit register so may be the same for credit cards.

EBS now offering 2% cash back up front and another 1% after 5 years.

Does anyone see EBS lowering fixed rates to compete with UB and others ? I'm on 5 year fixed at 3% with EBS and may look at moving to UB this year if rtaes stay at 3%

    Overpaying Fixed EBS Mortgage

That's true if you're the disciplined type but i'll throw it in each month cos i'm at risk of buying shiny new things with the savings ! I talked to them and it's straight forward enough. it would take over 4 years off my 17 year mortgage if i kept it up so a no-brainer really.

    Overpaying Fixed EBS Mortgage

Hi All, I have an EBS 5 year fixed mortgage at 3% and am considering starting to overpay about €500 a month. Although there is no provision for overpaying by 10% like with BOI and UB am i still allowed to overpay on an ad-hoc basis and pay the percentage of fixed-rate breakage fee as a result...

    EBS Break Fee Question

Just a quick update. My break fee is actually as of today €1,030. It takes till the 1st day of the month after fixing for correct changes to show up on EBS online.
