What are you using to determine that equities are overvalues? And how long do you think that the markets have been over valued for? The price earning ratio of the S&P500 is approximately 24.75. Te P/E of the S&P500 has been a lot higher in the last 20 years.

I think it is more important to look at is the high valuation of companies rather than how long the market is going up for.

Very good point - I do validate any advice given here especially from tax point of view. I am probably double working but I find that If I have a better understand of my options or at least have an outline of a plan I have more productive discussion with my accountant .
