Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

They've extended their 3.97% offer until 30 April. But where is this new portal? The website looks the same to me.

N26 Launch Savings Account Paying 2.80% to 4.00% less fees

    I'd factor in that N26 are unlikely to maintain the 4% offering for 12 months as the ECB are likely to start cutting rates in the next few months. A question on the N26 Q&A slightly misleadingly makes it appear fixed for a year which is obviously not the case;

Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

Is there anything different in the new portal or is it just aesthetics? What was turning me off using them last year was the fact you had to either send your ID verification by post abroad, or to their Gmail address. Has anything changed in this regard?

"Chargeable person", over 5k "taxable income", Form 11

Even under 5k doing form 11, it will still automatically calculate a PRSI deduction. I do wonder why our banks deduct DIRT but not PRSI.

"Six in every ten euro in a pension pot being consumed by charges"

Just a quick question that I don't think is worth a new thread; If I leave my employer, do the fees/AMC's on my DC pension change?

What is counted as Final Salary when my pension entitlements are being computed?

Thanks. I've been offered redundancy, and although I'm not sure of the exact formula used by the (DC) pension provider, by using formulas I've seen elsewhere, it seems my employer may have included PILON onto my final salary redundancy figures when forwarding to the pension provider. This has...

What is counted as Final Salary when my pension entitlements are being computed?

Can Payment in Lieu of Notice (PILON) be included under this category when calculating the average of previous 3 years salary? I assume it shouldn't be used to add onto the final salary if using only the final 12 month period?

Ex gratia payment, SCSB and NPV of Pension

Thanks very much, that helps a lot. Earlier in this thread, a different method is used as an example; Using this for Mary, I get to 14,909.08, which is a fairly large difference compared to her earlier 22,300. Is this just a case of each pension provider using their own formula?

Ex gratia payment, SCSB and NPV of Pension

I'm trying to calculate my own 'current tax free value' using this formula I've seen online; Bullet point 5 - the 20/32 - I presume the 20 is years of service - but where has that 32 come from? Is it specific to Mary, or part of the standard calculation? Bullet point 6 - how did they get to...

Does the Spanish tax form have to be printed and signed in pen, or can I just sign it digitally?

PTSB transfers to Raisin & Trade Republic "lost"

It actually sounds like Citi are the party at fault here. PTSB sent your funds correctly. TR seemingly weren't notified that your funds had arrived. TR's money is held in escrow accounts with Citi which TR aren't allowed to touch - Citi is technically the beneficiary of the funds. Hope...

    W1TTY - anyone using it?

The small print states you can't claim on water/electricity/gas, but can you claim back on your Sky/Virgin/Eir with this? Their home page states; "Up to 50% Cashback on selected brands. We are partnering with leading brands in your country to offer cashback on each." Can anyone share specific...

Those with deposits in Raisin, Lightyear - anything to report, issues, all good, etc?

That publication is from March 2022 so something could have changed since then. It also seems like Younited and Younited-Credit could be two separate entities. More homework is needed.

Trade Republic paying 4% on deposits up to €50,000

Is this the gist of it?; -Citi go insolvent - you're covered by the DGS. -TR go insolvent - you're covered for your full amount, as your funds are ringfenced in Citi escrow account. -Citi go insolvent due to fraud (I know, near impossible) - Does the DGS cover fraud? Couldn't really determine...

Those with deposits in Raisin, Lightyear - anything to report, issues, all good, etc?

I know this topic has been doing the round on several threads here, but I'm wondering why Trade Republic and Lightyear - neither are banks - both are online brokers - how are TR deposits covered under a Deposit Guarantee Scheme for 100k but Lightyear covered for 20k under an Investor Guarantee...

Those with deposits in Raisin, Lightyear - anything to report, issues, all good, etc?

The Raisin website are quite transparent about Younited and do state "Younited Credit has not yet received its own rating from the major rating agencies Moody’s, S&P and Fitch. However, banks are not obliged to do so either." As for trust - I guess it's a matter of if you trust the country's...
