AIB Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Regular AIB envelope. When you've had as many as we've had over the years they are unmistakable! Not registered which is slightly bonkers, but arrived safely anyway. Good luck! Hope it lands soon.

AIB Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Hi all, Cheque has arrived and been lodged (missed a call from my branch querying the cheque, so can't wait to mention it's a tracker scandal refund! As long as AIB has the funds of course). Words obviously don't come close, but firstly a huge thanks to Brendan and all his work and having this...

AIB Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Guy on helpline stated they had a deadline to get cheques out by end of August. It would of course be no surprise if this deadline slipped. As long as we get there in the end!

AIB When will those who have moved bank get their redress?

Same situation here. Switched to BoI last September. I haven't rang the helpline as I've had my fill of ringing Bankcentre, D4 over the years! No word yet, but as soon as we get anything through the letterbox I shall post an update here. I figure we'll be last in line, but that kind of...

AIB We have won the Prevailing Rate issue

Stunning result, Brendan. I'll not believe it until AIB cough up the cheque right enough. I must admit I had lost hope and switched to BoI last year to be rid of AIB from our lives. I couldn't face even the logo on their letters after what they put my family through. I'll be listening at 1050...

AIB AIB - who has appealed the €1650 /3.67% issue?

Appeal went in at the start of last week. AIB stated on the phone that there was a "high demand" for the appeals pack. Thanks again Brendan.

That is ours ready to go off via registered post tomorrow. Keeping the faith that we will all get justice in the end. Thanks again for all the invaluable guidance, Brendan.

AIB Would AIB's CEO try to justify a "prevailing rate" to another bank's CEO?

Thanks. Yes, I read this morning that analysts are expecting AIB to have to increase their financial provision to cover the scandal. This is of course AIB protecting the share price by denying this a couple of weeks ago. I think the CB have some strong people working and leading on this and...

AIB Would AIB's CEO try to justify a "prevailing rate" to another bank's CEO?

Hi Macusheild, Do you think the CB knew/approved/discussed that AIB were putting the 1k in their statement on Wednesday for this cohort? It's threefold as I can see it- It's the correct tracker rate (ie around the 1% mark) I should now be put on, the compensation due and the monies overpaid...

AIB AIB 3.67% customers to get €1000 each

In this cohort (not been confirmed yet). Disappointed, but not surprised by the continued attitude of AIB. If you read through the Central Bank statement (link on Twitter feed to a handy PDF near top of statement) it does not count the 4000 identified as due any different treatment to any...

AIB AIB restoring my tracker - but at 3.67%!

Bungaro, I requested my documentation from the bank a fortnight or so ago. Expecting the paperwork before Xmas within the 40day window. On the expiry of our 1st Fixed Term in 2010 we were told the trackers were gone. We had been speaking to the bank (with no joy, but plenty pain), but not...

AIB AIB restoring my tracker - but at 3.67%!

Hi Everyone, Been following this thread for a while. Got a letter in from AIB offering a tracker rate of 3.22% last week. We originally fixed in 2007 when there was a tracker on the table. That was the last I heard of tracker rates on my loan until now. We are coming out of fixed term next...
