Was Padraic Kissane taking a high court case with this cohort? Or was he helping clients go to the ombudsman first!?

Does anyone know if there is any of the prevailing rate cohort from PTSB with the ombudsman currently awaiting decision!?

Could a successful high court challenge on the AIB prevailing rate form the basis of an argument that could be used to help the PTSB group??

Would that mean the CB have signed off on this and other issues e.g. prevailing rate? Or just that it's finished from the banks perspective?

I think that's what I can't get my head around what are they trying to buy more time for? CB has signed off on a lot of other issues at other banks but not this issue. There must be still some tooing and froing behind closed doors or they would surely be sending final response letters.

@core123 what's your thoughts on this? Very frustrating indeed but at the same time one has to assume something is going on behind closed doors when they aren't just closing the issue.

Surely this has to be somewhat encouraging that the door is not shut on the issue?

I think many of us regret not being able to be in that room. Unfortunately and ironically if PTSB didn't have me in such a bind I may be able to take time of work to attend! Well done to all the speakers who made it.

I thought i heard Padraic mention before that he has copies of identical contracts with no rate specified but all restored to between 1.1% and...

Agree! Life has been so much more stressful since this initially broke in 2015 much more so than the previous years of being overcharged. We aren't getting any younger and grow tired of life being on hold. It would be nice for the end to be in sight one way or the other!

I am a victim of this prevailing rate saga. May I ask have both PTSB and the CB gave their final word on the matter? Is the courts the next or only route left open now?
