I think unless you have the words standard variable rate in your contract you have a case. If you do have the word standard variable rate with an explanation of rate in your contract you don't have a case. Variable rate moves with ecb +1.25 for private home buyers, and ecb +1.4 for buy to let...

No dont trust kbc as far as I could throw then .Fspo or the high court for me .Kbc have caused too much pain and hurt to get away with what they have knowing done in my opinion.

My complaint is to do with everything that has been mentioned , 2005 draw down. I wont say more for now,we will let the fspo do there job.

My case is at the investigation stage and the fspo have asked the right questions and asked for the right documents of kbc should know more in 20 days .

Yes sanparom it did,and was on the prevailing rate for a few months.

My case is at the investigation stage with the ombudsman on this matter I will keep this page updated. My strong advice is get you case together and file with the ombudsman.

Hi jazzed 1 I can only comment on my case and this is progressing to the investigation stage with the fspo at this time. So my advice would be to lodge your complaint as it has taken a year and half to get to this stage with my case.

Hi @Jazz Yes the Ombudsmen has began their investigations on the tracker issues. Forward your case to them ,once you have a final response from your bank .

Iib/kbc will have to produce all its rates for the period 2005 to 2008 to ombudsmen or the courts and that will prove who was on what rate and when, untill that happens this will not end . Brendan, peemac maybe ye could access there svr and tacker rates on a monthly basic from 2005 to 2008 or...

What I have been told by FPSO. Examination is done by dates of when complaint was received by their office. Mine was January 2018, Meditation with kbc December 2018 which was unsuccessful. Case inline to be investigated.

Peemac, If KBC could prove that standard variable rate was been used in the period 2005 to 2008 as product , ie list of what the rates were and prove of them, corresponds maybe with there clients.... Or news paper documents .... But they can't !!!! Maybe you can ?

Peemac Kbc did not have a standard variable rate during this time, (Fixed, Variable "tracker ", or split)

Hi Brendan. Rate I was on in July and August 2006 was 4.34 , and 4.59 in September 2006 . Both a difference of 1.34 from the ECB of which was 3.00 for July and August and 3.25 for September. Prevailing rate . Rates in handbook, 3 rates. Fixed. Variable, Split.
