AIB AIB warns of further tracker scandal costs

As you say Brendan, maybe they are, hopefully both in due course but the amount of provision as you say wont go near covering the cost of the prevailing rate issue alone. We dont know how many are affected by the EBS issue unless anyone here does so impossible to work out how much that would...

AIB AIB warns of further tracker scandal costs

Brendan calls it accurately regarding the prevailing rate issue and no provision for a proper resoulution to that issue. Obviously nothing on the EBS and provision for anything there either so according to them we are all dead in the water.

EBS What does an EBS "Variable Base Rate" mortgage mean?

Hi peemac, thats good information to have as it brings home to us the difficulty we face in getting redress as a court or the FSO could determine that VBR mortgages were something different and could side with EBS which appears to be what is happening here with regard to the CB. FSO doesnt...

EBS What does an EBS "Variable Base Rate" mortgage mean?

Brendan has asked on the prevailing rate issue if anyone is available to attend the AIB AGM on wednesday 24th next to question them about their issue. Unfortunately i am unable to attend myself but would there be anyone available to attend this to question them on our VBR issue, EBS is part of...

EBS What does an EBS "Variable Base Rate" mortgage mean?

Hi all, just to let ye know i have just got a reply from Michael McGrath in which he says he wants EBS to come in to the committee seperately to be questioned on our issue among others as he feels it would be the best way to get the answers we need which i personally would agree with. He also...

EBS What does an EBS "Variable Base Rate" mortgage mean?

Hi whyindeed, thanks for coming back on this, unfortunately it wasnt raised, heard since my last posting. It appears the prevailing rate issue seemed to dominate the session, happy for them but very annoyed as im sure all others on this thread that they werent questioned by the committee so...

AIB AIB at the Oireachtas Finance Committee this morning

Anything about the Variable Base Rate group or have we been ignored yet again. These are under the AIB umbrella(EBS) so obviously if not ill have to email a few of them and ask why was it not raised. Michael McGrath in fairness appears to have played a blinder on the prevailing rate issue here...

EBS What does an EBS "Variable Base Rate" mortgage mean?

Spot on, thanks for that whyindeed. At least it was mentioned and it came up on the news for the first time. Trying to put a positive take on this it would seem to anyone watching that he didnt know what to say and his ducking and diving will surely be picked up by people in the know.

Hi whyindeed, got nothing yet im afraid but have emailed Michael McGrath again and asked him could he raise our issue on 11th April with AIB so probably nothing until then. EBS What does an EBS "Variable Base Rate" mortgage mean?

Not about our Variable base rate issue which is annoying, we need this sorted at this stage, i just hope im one of the last going into PK and that most contributors are already further down the line with him or the FSO. Hopefully it wont go as far as the courts but it could do.
