KBC KBC - redress amounts confirmed?

FINALLY ended my dispute with the post man this morning. We hugged for what felt like 3 minutes, although it did feel like he was trying to push me away at times. Never before has there been such excitement opening an A4 envelope.. Not even the marriage certificate could have this sort of an...

KBC KBC - redress amounts confirmed?

My relationship with the post man has deteriorated in recent weeks. He has to now drop off our letters with neighbours, as It was getting to the stage where I would find myself shaking him, which asking if he had an A4 size envelope with him!

KBC KBC - redress amounts confirmed?

Not so sure KBC are issuing redress & compensation, in chronological order of date. Our account came off the fixed agreement in August 2008, & I've seen customers receive closure, with a fixed agreement expiry date, beyond this date, but I'm sure there is a method to the madness that KBC are...

KBC KBC giving me back my tracker!

Congrats @peemac - Similar to yourself, i’m 9 years, 7 months since coming off fixed, & imagine when Postman Pat does arrive, i’ll start into a rendition of “Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take you to Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama Key Largo, Montego, baby why don't we go oh I want to take...

Not receiving these promised letters by end of week would be snow laughing matter like.

KBC KBC returned my tracker, after taking it from me as a condition for restructuring back in 2009

Just to clear up any confusion, I too received the same consistent message as all of the above, when KBC rang back this morning. Not sure why the uncertainty when I rang yesterday - My guess was that part of the loan was already on a tracker, causing a wee bit of confusion. One small step for...

KBC KBC returned my tracker, after taking it from me as a condition for restructuring back in 2009

I got a letter on Jan 05th, saying I was considered as being impacted, but wasn't able to get a definitive when I rang today, and certainly wasn't told that I'd be getting a rate change from March 01st. Due a call back tomorrow, as she needed to check why there was nothing showing on her account...

KBC KBC statement on tracker redress

That is the case. The 900 million is broken down by redress / compensation to the impacted, and then the internal operational costs involved for banks to mobilise their teams to support this scandal. My gut feeling is that KBC will be offering the bare minimum in terms of compensation, i.e. less...

We are all going to meet up after all this & have a tracker party right!

KBC KBC statement on tracker redress

Any guesses as to how KBC will weight up against other banks, in terms of the compensation offered. I don't know why Central Bank didn't mandate a default compensation for this scandal across the industry, obviously before each individual decides to appeal for further compensation beyond this...

KBC KBC statement on tracker redress

Nice one Snowman. Sorry didn’t see your most recent post. They have obviously frontloaded all scenarios, where homes have been lost, or customers entered arrears as a result of their mistakes. I still can’t believe the u-turn here. It’s great to see!

KBC KBC statement on tracker redress

"Is there a chance the tracker rate will be restored?" You'll be watching me drive up outside the KBC building with a bulldozer, on the RTE news, if not! I love the contradictory tone of yesterday's letter. We've identified your impacted, but sure we'll have to see about the redress and...

KBC KBC statement on tracker redress

The only worthwhile thing to do, from what I can gather, for those now receiving letters confirming impact, is to email Central bank, saying no change has taken place of yet to reinstate interest rate

KBC KBC statement on tracker redress

When I rang before xmas, I was told that our account was in the first batch to go in new year. I don't know if this applies, our account was one of the original 490 (now 417), but anyway, the first time they have used the word 'impacted', which is reassuring to see & progress.

KBC KBC statement on tracker redress

In our own case, we drew down in 2005 on a tracker, but fixed in July or August 2007, for 1 year. The wording on the fixed letter of agreement, stated that we would return to the company's standard variable rate. I would assume their not really tailoring these letters, one one standard template...

KBC KBC statement on tracker redress

I received my a letter from KBC in post this morning, fairly standard I thought to buy some time, saying our account is within both the scope of the review, and included within a group of accounts considered as being impacted as part of the tracker examination. We are still working to determine...

    Tracker mortgage protest Jan 2018

Imagine the message this sends out, if we could get tens of thousands of us to the streets, who were impacted by this, either directly or indirectly. How likely are we to get numbers out in force for a protest, in the coldness of January though, very unlikely I would say. It’s just the Irish...
