Hello,
We returned from Cherbourg today and were stopped by Customs at Dublin port. We had less per person than the 'guideline' 90 litres of wine so there was no issue. However, the customs official told us that this was an annual limit and that if we travelled again later in the year and exceeded the 90 litres cumulatively, our purchases could be siezed. Is this correct? I understood that these allowances applied each time you travelled.
Any enlightenment out there?
Thanks.
