As the title says I've been approached by Ogami to sell shares which I had written off as they were a delisted US stock going back a number of years. It is alleging that the FSCB is the relevant authority in Japan for them (they are a mergers and acquisitions company) but finding information on either is not proving easy which increases my scepticism. Just wondering if anyone has ever had any dealings/experience with either.

I was approached by a women called stella Warren from Ogami for the same reason of selling skye stock. She kept calling me over a three month period and eventually built my trust and sweet talked me into sending nearly $8000. I am such a fool.

As soon as they received the money, they said, these shares have warrants attached to them and I have to pay another $24000 to change them into selling stock. They asked me to get loan on my house. I refused and wanted my money back. They keep saying, the money is refundable but will not pay back. Now they have stopped all communication.

I even approached FSCB but they will not answer my e-mails either. Both of them are running a very sophisticated scam so I am warning all readers to avoid them at all cost. You will not get your money back.

Infact, avoid anyone fro Japan. Its a land of scammers.

This woman stella is british from Manchester and she send me her photographic driving licence from Japan to gain my trust. I am going to take it to police.

Sorry to hear that @shinda, she was very persuasive and a lot of what she said made sense (on one level) but I couldn't find any information on her or her company on LinkedIn etc. and the FSCB didn't appear to be a legit operation. They even put me in touch with a scottish guy who appeared to back up their story. Good luck with the police if I can help you at all let me know.

I have been in touch with Financial Services Authority Japan and they have said, Ogami is not a registered company in Japan. Don't let the name Foreign Securities and Bond Commission fool you, that is not a Japanese company either and are just a bunch of fraudsters who have set up this scamming business.

I have also written to the bank in HongKong where I transferred the money, warning them to close such accounts. Police are also looking into it but not sure, they can do much.

The woman is very persuasive indeed and she said she is very good at her job.

So Please be very careful and do not fall into the same trap as I did. In fact, tell her to get lost on the first instant.
