Long story making in short.
BTEA refused because the course started in September and i had 2 years on illness benefit 2 months later after course has started. I deferred a year as of my sickness, was not well enough when signed in September but i had to give it a go. Disability allowance was not accepted as they said as i signed up for it i can do it. I am still crawling in pain, IQ dropped from 80% to 40% but i would miss a degree opportunity if i don't do it. Btea would have solved all my problems and i still think i am entitle to it. The woman from the
department said why i don't get a part time job just like her son does when in college. Chasing this for past month and a half my health gone worse, chronic kidney infection, constant nausea and pain. My thinking not straight anymore. The only option left is to bring a letter from college that i redrawn from it and apply for sick no benefit, i don't even have any strength left to study and welfare cut any possible benefits i have. I am afraid that if i give them a letter to say that i withdrawn from college they will still not help me financial until i get back on track with my health. Was working 15 years before i fell ill, 2 years and 3 months ago.
Help!!! Any advice much appreciated.

I would advise you to contact you local citizen information centre. They are great at solving cases like yours. Try not to worry too much and don't be afraid to.ask them to advocate for you.

Can you defer the course rather than drop out. Your health is more important and I agree you should contact citizens information. You may find it difficult to get back on illness benefit as you have to have a certain number of contributions paid and also a number in the relevant tax year which for 2019 claims is 2017. You need 26 paid in 2017 - did you work that year.? You could apply for jobseekers - citizens info will advise you.
