Splitting units in house legally

Hi Guys and Gals,

If I own an old house split into units for example like in flatland st Dublin, is it possible to seek planning to separate each unit into it's own legally saleable flat?

What if I built units to 2019 building specs now eg fire elec etc and then applied for planning a few years from now?

Architects and planning costs money!

Any thoughts?

Yes, it's possible to do that alright, so long as the units can comply with all the prevailing regs for multi-unit developments when you do it. A good planning consultant would guide you through the process.
