Hi,

We are a family of 5 and our Laya renewal quote has arrived (€2,407)
Our existing cover;

Me Flex 250 Plus (to renew it's 1,304.25)
Wife Future Protect (to renew it's €635.30)

3 x Kids ( 11, 9 & 4) Essential Connect Health (to renew the the 3 kids it's €396.83)

What changes should I make that will reduce the total bill, retain the physiotherapy refunds, ditch the GP visits and have similar hospital cover?
I'm not too sure if it's worth having a refund for GP visits, I only saw my GP twice in the previous 12 months, but I'm happy to retain the physiotherapy refunds !!

My wife would like to upgrade her cover , to match mine.

Any ideas??

gerryp2000,

Just a quick question, what date in October is your renewal?

private hospital, day case excess 150 per procedure. No excess to pay in any public hospital. No day to day on this plan but you can add an

VHI have a once off cash refund offer at the moment just for adults, if you sign up to 'My VHI' and tick the box to agree to receive all documents by email/online and to pay through salary or by direct debit. They will request your IBAN bank details just so they can lodge your refund.
It is well worth for your wife or both of you to sign up to avail of this free offer.
The total refund for 2 adults is 150.
If both of you sign up with VHI, I would recommend you ask VHI to allow you to change your renewal date to either tomorrow (Friday 28th or Saturday 29th September) so as to avail of the half price offer for children, which ends on 1st October 2018. VHI are usually ok in allowing this type of thing.

Note; Details of the cash refund offer as follows;

Alternatively, if you want to pick a Laya plan, you can leave the children with Laya while your wife could switch to VHI to avail of the cash
refund offer.

Regards, Snowyb
