Getting refunds from vending machines

My money was swallowed up the coke machine in Heuston Station. I was wondering how to get my cash back, as I don't really want to call the 1890 number (it costs me to call them).

Not that I really give much of a monkey's about losing an amount of money that small, but I just hate the idea of giving coca cola my money for nothing (and nobody servicing the machine).

Ha ha, was there today and believe it or not the guy was actually servicing one of the machines and got talking to him. He was from my neck of the woods and I got a coke from him. Consider your money gone, to a needy person.

Don't worry, Coca Cola don't operate the machines themselves, so it's the company at the end of the 1890 number who have your money.

I once rang them when my money was swallowed by a vending machine and I got a cheque in the post of 1.49.

I cant remember if I even got around to cashing it
