Trans Border Workers Relief

I switched roles within my company last year and now work mainly out of a UK office and the other times I work from home.

I usually travel twice a week on day trips to the UK office and very rarely if ever visit the Irish office. All the people I work with are based in the UK.

I'm still paid by the Irish office but could have this changed to the UK office if it was worthwhile.

I would like to get an idea if I might be able to qualify for the Trans Border Workers Relief. Plan to get professional tax advise if it is a possibility.

Just trying to find professional advise on this topic but struggling at the moment.

Should I be looking for an accountant, a financial planner or a specialist tax advisor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

A lot could change on this in the next 12 months with Brexit. Might be better for you to sit it out and see what happens. Plenty of people in similar situation to you but majority probably working cross border in Northern Ireland. I would advise an accountant/tax adviser used to dealing with this, those in the border area should have a lot of experience.
