Family with two children 8 and 14. Father declared bankrupt in January.
Using the online calculator of 2 adults, 2 kids with a car I did this.

Car needed
Father in college getting means tested back to education allowance at 280 per week. Should be 400 but docked as Mother works part time getting 270 nett a week.
Mother also gets susi grant towards her college course degree expenses of 135 a month.
Home is split mortgage where bank is paid at 505 a month with other half warehoused by agreement. Granny paid 25 euro a week for school runs and food for little one, to allow wife to work part time and me to retrain in a college full time.
Issue is now rle calculator says living expenses 2550 ish and we are just under that. Could child benefit of 280 tip the scales?
Also, the bank will be looking for us to increase our payments sooner or later so maybe it would be an idea to up it now and try to find say 100 a month to kill two birds with one stone?
Finally, its a ptsb loan. Even though it is in order by arrangement, with warehoused, media reports suggest it could be classed as non performing, and may end up in project glas glas and sold of to the vultures.
