Hi there,

I'm in the process of winding up my company. The last set of filed accounts were for 30th April 2016. I have ceased trading some months ago.

Question is, do I need to file a set of account for 30.04.2017 or anything for the period since?

If there were transactions in either period, why not?

if you appoint a liquidator by, say, Xmas, there would be no need to incur the cost of filing accounts at CRO. You are unlikely to face any prosecution or penalties for failure to file annual returns at CRO in the meantime.

If you are proposing to place the company into a Solvent Members Voluntary Liquidation, then you will have no issues with ODCE.

If the company is insolvent, and you are placing the company into an insolvent Creditors Voluntary Liquidation, then ODCE may take an interest in the issue of late filing combined with your failure to promptly place the company into liquidation.

Thanks for that. Much appreciated.

So would I need to return any of the information from 1st May 2016 to the CRO or simply pay a CT payment.
