I don't have any Roches Stores near me but I presume they'll all be having closing down sales?
I'm moving into a new house so was hoping to get lots of new stuff from there.
To save me a trip does anyone know if they sell items like beds, 3 piece suites, duvet covers, coffee tables, lamps?
 
Roches don't sell beds & 3piece suites - they do sell electronic items (not dishwasher, fridge etc) but kettles, toasters, glasses, cups, plates, cutlery, pots & pans, duvet covers, curtains, lighting, garden furniture.
 
Either would I - they're just being bought out by Debenhams, i would imagine the stores will keep trading as usual...

Just spoke with Roches - Henry St. no liquidation sale on - just the ordinary sale
 
Thanks too, is a new sale starting or is it just the sale that's been on for the last while?
 
ok 2 versions here! the head office is saying no but one of my colleagues sisters works there and says yes!

worth a look if ur around i guess!
 
Hmmm! The plot thickens! I think I'll head down to The Square after work for a look, it's probably jammers at this stage if that email is doing the rounds!
 
Debenhams have reportedly paid circa €28m for the existing stock... Haven't seen any major advertising for a larger than normal sale on Henry St...
 
Was just over in the henry st branch of roches and there are no sales on apart from the normal summer sale thats been on for the past few weeks. Even asked a member of staff and was told a firm "no"!
 
There's 40% off all nursery stock and stuff in the lighting department in the Roches in Tallaght but the rest of the houshold items are the normal price - shame as I had my eye on the Le Cruset pots which would have been nice at 40% reduction!!!
 
Thanks Sam, I want to replace alot of my light fittings so might see if there's anything that suits. I'd love some Orange Le Crusets myself but just can't jusify that sort of money for pots!
 
I bought a lot of Le Creuset pots in UK at fabulous prices. If you're ever flying into Stanstead check out Braintree Freeport Designer Outlet. Le Creuset have a store there and you can get pots at GREAT prices and in every possible colour imaginable - they currently have lilac colour but I went for the original Volcanic Orange - guessing it won't be discontinued any time soon!

DH wasn't too impressed when he heard he had to drag the flaming (excuse pun) things home!
 
Thanks for the tip on the outlet in Stanstead - good to know! In the mean time will patiently wait on the off chance they reduce the homeware stuff in Roches :)

Had a further look in my local store and the mens clothing is very very cheap, half price on levi's/wranglers/shoes etc (some of the shoes were already half price - so became half price again or 75% off!!)

But it's not going into liquidation. It's being sold as a going concern. I'd imagine they'll be keeping the name too.
