Son (18) - will his income affect my Jobseekers Allowance?

Hi all.

My son is 18 and just finished his leaving cert. He has got a full time job starting on Monday.

I work three days per week and receive a reduced rate Jobseekers Allowance.

I know that from September I would no longer be getting the dependent child allowance (€40 pw), however I am wondering does anyone know if my sons income is going to affect my JSA?

I can’t seem to find an answer online and am thinking it may be assessed as means as he lives at home with me.

If anyone could shed some light on this for me I would be grateful!

TIA

On information sites it says all income by you or your spouse/partner will be taken into account.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I’ve seen that but he is neither - he is my son and I am single. I can find information on how a parents income affects the entitlements of a 18+ person living at home, but nothing vice versa.
