AIB Who has complaints at the Ombudsman stage on the simple vs. compound interest issue?

I am trying to figure out where this is at. If you have complained to AIB and/or the Ombudsman, could you reply to this thread please indicating which stage you are at.

Stage 1 - Complaint made to AIB - awaiting a response
Stage 2 - Reply received from AIB on x/x/2021 . Haven't complained to Ombudsman yet
Stage 3 - At mediation stage with Ombudsman
x/x/2021. Reply received from AIB
y/y/2021 Complaint submitted to Ombudsman
z/z/2021 Received a call from the Ombudsman's mediation person

Stage 4 - At investigation stage with Ombudsman.
n/n/n Mediation concluded without an agreement. File sent for investigation.
At this stage - The Ombudsman sends questions to AIB and AIB's answers are sent to the borrower to respond. Then the borrower's response is sent to AIB, and so on...

This stage can last months until both sides say that they have nothing further to add.

Stage 5 Adjudication Stage with Ombudsman

Both sides said that they had nothing further to add and now the Ombudsman has to make a decision.

Stage 6 Preliminary Decision issued.
Stage 7 Legally Binding decision issued. Both sides have 30 days to appeal to the High Court.

Stage 8. 30 days after Stage 7, the decision is binding on both side.

At Mediation stage , have received a call from ombudsman , submitted questions regarding interest issue and AIB have replied in last few days

Stage 2. Received letter from AIB 21/04/21 rejecting compound interst and restoration to tractor rate mortgage.
 
Stage 2, 21st April I got 'final response'.
AIB claimed they had no case to answer more or less. They misrepresented the way things happened so I rang them to say I needed them to go back over their reply. This was to make sure that when I complain to the Ombudsman they don't try to say things happened differently.
Got an acknowledgement of that call and new complaint and I'm now waiting again for a new 'final response'.
 
Stage 4. All mediation is finished and we are awaiting a decision from the Ombudsman. Don't have the date to hand but it was either February or March I think. Our complaint began as a prevailing rate / tracker issue before last year's payout but we added the Simple v Compound fiasco when asked if we were satisfied with what AIB gave us.

I have clarified the different stages in the opening post.
A few months after mediation finishes, the Ombudsman sends a schedule of questions to AIB. I presume that has not happened yet?

Yes this has happened. AIB responded to the Ombudsman's list of questions and we had the opportunity to respond to their responses! We have had our fill of it at this stage so we declined to add anything further and it has gone to adjudication.
 
Hi Brendan,
1st step letter format to complaint to AIB I can’t seem to find it ? Compound Interest? I have seen a few different formats not sure which one to send 1st could you or someone attach please sorry if I have missed one that’s obvious

I am assuming that it is quite usual, 4 weeks post first phone contact with Ombudsman mediator, to not have had any contact /update from anyone since ?
Or do I need to check in ?
