Freeze on evictions - death of landlord

I am aware that there is an absolute ban on the serving of notices of termination that was due to expire today and looks set to be continued. What is the position, however, where the landlord has died? In those circumstances, can the executor serve a notice of termination? Grateful for any views.

There is nothing in the legislation that would exempt this case. More pain for the executor to deal with for a while yet.

I would imagine that the executor would be a custodian of the estate and as such be bound by the current regulations.
