Was looking at something similar myself. In my case because I am on a large site I wanted lights to shine back onto front of house.Could anyone give any advice/recommendations on lights for under hedging in a front garden? I don't want solar powered. They'll be fitted by an electrician, but I'd like to get some ideas before speaking to him.
Yes that’s what I am considering too. At least the positioning can be adjusted if need be. Thanks for your input. Was looking at something similar myself. In my case because I am on a large site I wanted lights to shine back onto front of house.
Looked at lights on a spike that can be adjusted up and down and from side to side so if I needed to adjust after electrician fitted no hazzle.
Interesting. They look pretty good. Will run it by my electrician. Thanks.I bought a bunch of these (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Outdoor-Garden-Lights-Ground-SPBLK04/dp/B008WAE128/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=Gu10+garden+spike&qid=1581015350&sr=8-5 ) and stuck them around the garden, all wired back to switches at the front/back door. What I like about these is that they don’t come with bulbs, so you can change the bulb if they fail or put different coloured or smart bulbs etc in.
Note that you can buy these spike light fittings in electrical wholesalers here for x3-x4 times the price, which I assumed meant they were better quality and the Amazon stuff was cheap junk. Not so, they seem to be all more or less the same...
