I understood the Revenue interest rate was reduced to 2% from last year.

Apologies the 2% applies to revenue court judgements.

Revised calculation:
(€24k - €1270) x 33% + 8% interest for 5 years, plus (€22k - €1270) x 33% + 8% interest for 4 years = €20.5k (of which €6k is interest).
