Got a price of 2500 for family of 2 adults and 4 kids for fuertevereture for end of may all inclusive, we never done all inclusive before so going to give it a try. It sounds allright to me, has anyone been and would you spend much extra or is it really all inclusive.

I would recommend 1/2 board if you have young kids as you can rock on down and get breakfast without trapsing round restaurants with everyone getting hungry. In the evening time the you can eat somewhere different for a change.

fuertevereture ? Are you sure it isn't Fuerteventura which is one of the Canary Islands? If so, where in the island will you be based and are the kids school age or older/younger?

I would suggest you check out the hotel on Tripadvisor as there can be a variance in quality. The good thing about all inclusive is that the kids can eat all they wish and drink as much pop as they(and you) can stand. The adults may get bored with the food but you can vary it by eating out an odd night. Slim

2 + 4, Twoandahalfgrand, good value and all inclusive to boot. We don't know what resort or what hotel or for how long. Take the deal and run.

Sounds like good value to me. Only problem with all inclusive is eating too much and getting bored with the same food all the time in the same restaurant. We had something like this in Egypt and skipped a couple of meals to go out to dinner elsewhere. But last time we went to Egypt we went to a top resort and the food was excellent and varied, that was for one week, I would do that again but never for 2 weeks. The only extra money we spent was on tips. You need to make sure you understand exactly what's included, all meals, drinks of which type, snacks, tea and coffee, but generally all inclusive means no other money will be needed. That price you mentioned is very competitive for a family of 6.

One thing I never liked about Spain is how they pack you in. I refuse to go into teeny tiny places. I want the kids in bedrooms. But that's just me. There's a great hotel in Benalmedina, Sunset beach club, that is very reasonably priced and they have apartments. We got a two bed for a week for around €700, hotel right on the beach and the resort a lovely walk along the beach to the Marina and restaurants etc. I thougth the prices reasonable. My brother went to the Canaries about a year ago with 2 kids for a week, first time for them to do that kind of package and they had a great time, he said they had great activities for families one the beach/water.

The computer said no to the 4 kids so we got this deal at a travel agent its for 1 week, we can't be too fusy with accommodation because we are limited for our family size but sure we make the best of it plenty wine and beer might help.

I don't see how there is any other way you can get a sun holiday elsewhere for less than what you have right there. Kids will adapt to anything in my experience. Once it's hot you'll be out all the time doing stuff. And you'll only use the apartment to sleep in at night.

The reason I asked where on the island you'd be based is because it may be miles from a beach and if it's beside one, is it a sandy beach or a volcanic stoney one, has the accomodation got a/c, has it a good sized pool or a kids one, what is there for kids to do, has the hotel got a good rating, etc, etc? If you're a distance from everything in Fuerteventura you could be in trouble with children and the places i've been to are not really renowned for catering for kids. Corralejo and Costa De Fuste have beaches but not much more and 2 weeks eating and doing the same thing every day will test your patience. As for extra spending? Of course you'll spend more than what the holiday cost, how much will depend on the kids liking of what they eat and drink. The drinks won't be what you usually get, Coke, ice cream, savories, etc, for example will be a substitute, same with all other stuff and i'd say another grand at least will be needed which isn't much more than a €10 each per day if you're lucky. Also it takes around 4 hours and 10 mins to fly there! Then again we're all different so good luck, but it wouldn't be my choice.

You'd hardly pay for Coca Cola or top class ice cream if an own brand is available and included.

Sounds terribly expensive to me, for a week of eating and drinking to excessive levels, which is generally what all inc entails. I have never been to one of these places, but for €2500, i rather go Key Camping where these places are geared towards kids and Adults.

We did camping in spain 2 years ago 6 of us cramped in a mobile home not great,we rented out a holiday home in kerry last year near a beech great week the weather was beautifully, the house was comfortable but it didn't feel like a holiday, maybe it was a bit too easy. We will give this a try and see how we get on.

@galwaypat you're asking for what people think of your deal but you still haven't told us where and what exactly is included or even star rating of accommodation. For all we know it could be a beach hut or a five start hotel.

How can anybody say whether they think if its good or bad without basic info to compare it with ?

Campsites in Vendee France end May are cheap. Did your kids enjoy the camping in Spain experience. If so I think they would enjoy the camping in a large 3 bedroom mobile home. You can PM me. I am very familiar with a lot of sites in Vendee. Will cost you less than 2.5k too all in I would guess.

Hi Leo,

Just didn't see the point really in going into it all unless the OP was really interested in pursuing info. So therefore I just said to PM me on it. I don't really have an objection to sharing information on the public forums.

Fair enough, but it's a topic that has come up a few times over the years so is likely of interest to others even if not the OP.
