areas to avoid in limerick city centre

Didn't see this thread when it was new. I always thought that the main reason that Limerick never sorted its problems was because of the peoples unwillingness to admit they exist.

living in south circular road at the moment(renting) and moving to castletroy shortly.

Right !

Well I would say the worst places are The Kings Island , Thomand Gate , Moyross Kilelly Prospect Southill Weston Caherdavin Ballananty and garryowen They would kind of be the places to avoid

caherdavin is middle class according to my other half who is from limerick

Anyone have thoughts on where to look for buying now around Limerick city area? I ask as the last recommendation was 10 years ago.

Living in castletroy for the last few years. Love the area. Great facilities and walks. Would recommend it.

Wonder whatever happened to hema1 (OP) ?

Did he/she move to Limerick, never to be heard of again ? :)
Ooerr, the plot thickens.........I'd be afraid of Limerick now. :)

I moved away a few years ago but if you are looking at the city centre, the south circular road area is nice, or somewhere on o'connell avenue. What is your budget/property type e.g. apartment or house?

Probably 250k-450k for a min 3 bed house that preferably needs no work / is reasonably new. I would be working in Clare so would prefer to have easy access to the west side of the city so North / South circular road would be nice I guess.

For that kind of budget in Limerick, you will have your pick of properties.
