martin o neills behavious towards tony o donoghue contunes to be nothing short of disgraceful. Again today he has been unreasonably agressive towards the journalist whilst been asked very fair questions. He gets paid a fortune to do a job that many others would cherish having - managing your countries soccer team literally a few times a year!

Is there any way to make a complaint in relation to this matter? Perhaps to the fai? Or to rte?

He really does need to be taken down a peg or two and put firmly back in his box.

Football managers are paid far more for the same job they did in the 1980s.
That's because the sport now attracts a wider audience.
Journalists \ the media are the interface to that wider audience. Personally I never watch soccer post-match interviews as they are exercises in whatever you say say nothing... compare the articulate responses in American football, for example.

RTE should have made a complaint to the FAI, O'Neill is paid to answer questions and RTE have paid for access.
If you really want to pursue it, complain to RTE, maybe it will give them ammunition...

If O'Neill wants to carry on like a 1980s manager and only talk to whoever he want to talk to, he should accept a 1980s salary!

ps I'd say if O'Neill saw the Nations League draw, Denmark again, he wouldn't have signed the new contract so he's not having the last laugh by any means.

I do want to persue it. A quick email to fai or rte or both will take me 5 mins. Yeah he wont be happy with todays drab draw.

O'Neill is lucky to still have a job with Ireland after the flirting with Stoke and the result against Denmark. In any other well run FA, he'd be gone. But the FAI is a puppet regime run by a wealthy tax exiles who pay the national team manager's wages and so get to calll the shots.
O'Donoghue works for the national broadcaster and has never asked anything too taxing of O'Neill. Yet O'Neill carries on like an untouchable.

Either he learns to be polite and get on with the job on/off the field or he packs it in. His ignorant behaviour is becoming tiresome

+1 I'm surprised that someone as experienced as O'Neill behaves like this but it is not acceptable and he does need to be told as much by those with some authority over his position. Whether this is via RTE complaining to the FAI I don't know but if you find out a way to pursue this Jim I would be interested in knowing as well.

Maybe he's listening too much to Roy's media advice?, well I guess if you hire a PR guy you should listen to him....wait, that's not Roy's job, so what exactly does he do then??? It's all a bit shambolic, O'Neill could have expected a few 'boots' over his dithering on whether he wants the Irish job or not, being precious in interviews is childish. & I don't really know where the Roy thing is going, I can't honestly see him taking over from O'Neill - I had great time for Roy as a player but despite early promise as a manager I'm not sure its in him - the chip on his shoulder (why?) isn't showing any great signs of subsiding, and the bully approach to everything is getting old.
