Ulster Former First Active now Ulster Bank Customer

I agree and it should set a precedent. my view is that if you had a tracker and don’t now you will get it back. There may be some unusual cases but in general it will happen.

Another 60 day letter today
Same here....was told yesterday when I rang the Tracker Mortgage Team about a complaint I had that they will "identify" 1500 by end of March and remaining by June Seems a but ridiculous they know the number they will identify which shows they do know those who are impacted but wont tell them

Hi did they specify if all 1500 were former FA customers?
no he didn't...i think he realized hw had gave out information ans tried to back track a bit. I am still fighting with them to get my SARS request, they won't give me my data

Was on them yesterday to get my SAR data too. They were supposed to call me back at 10am today. Guess what...

Pretty much the same boat as yourself @Editiono. I sent my request in Nov, got cheque back week before Christmas. Rang them yesterday. The guy I was talking to said he'd get his manager to call me back this morning.

Man from Belfast called me. Said that my SAR request would be fulfilled by Edinburgh even though my cheque was returned. They are working through the SAR requests by date and are getting more staff to get through the backlog. He had no idea when I should expect documents. I mentioned that I thought they had a deadline of 40 days to fulfill these requests. He just said that they missed the deadline.
The letter I received from SAR team in December just said they are passing my request to Tracker mortgage team in Dublin, and returning my cheque.

I got my documents last year some were in triplicate but the docs I specifically wanted were missing. I rang complained and they did another one. I got some more of the same and other docs but not the ones I wanted. Specifically the letter they sent me when the fixed rate was up. Just have to wait it out. I'm surprised UB have not made an announcement about former FA yet as there are so many rumblings in the press about it.

Spoke to the Manager in Edinburgh yesterday nad they are very unwilling to give me a date and says it is down to the sheer volume that that had no foresight to see this coming at all and there is nothing they can do. I also received an apology letter from them and logged another complaints which brings it up to 4 with them now. Sooner I move away from these the better...really had enough!

Posted the below on another post but probably better here.

This whole tracker issue is getting bogged down in a myriad of issues and concerns, getting side tracked, confusion between those who have a very legitimate grievance, those who may, and those who probably don't, and those who certainly don't and are chancing their arm. The result is complete gridlock.

I am fed up receiving the two monthly letters from the bank which are saying nothing. Banks should be prioritising the tracker issues much more than they are.

I am one of the people who had a first active tracker, now with Ulster Bank. It seems very little is progressing with those reviews. This is despite the Central Bank launching a separate investigation a long time back specifically into those trackers. That would strongly that the Central Bank has a good reason for launching a separate investigation over and above the main tracker investigation. In that event how the Central Bank are allowing things to continue this long is incredible on the first active trackers. They should force the issue with severe penalties applying. Enough of the consultancy, legal and doublespeak.

Incredible. In any business one focuses on the key areas first and then works through issues on a prioritised basis. Not in Ireland or the Banks apparently. I have posted previously about how useless the Ombudsman process was. I don't want to come to the same view on the Central Bank but I am finding it increasingly more difficult not to have stronger views on the matter.

I am simply looking for the Bank to honour a signed agreement. Is that too much to ask or expect?
How about dealing with the people who have a written agreement first?

No mention of former FA in the news today and looks like it's all nearly over, did anyone hear any report to the contrary?

The optimistic in me thinks that the First active trackers are such a black and white issue that the Bank are staying quiet and attempting to resolve other tracker issues. Then quietly they will simply fess up and give the first active people the trackers back.

The pessimist thinks something different.

Don’t give up yet, UB will fight tooth and nail at every opportunity but I think the central bank is putting manners on them in the background

Just listened to the podcast from morning Ireland, Padraig said its near the end identifying affected apart from some First Active and Ebs customers. He said that some customers would be disappointed that their not included overall.
