Not sure if it's ok to enquire here:
Any recommendations for a solicitor who has experience dealing with sales from receiver bought via private treaty?
Preferably Dublin based

any solicitor should be able to assist.

be aware though that receivers tend to get away with supplying very little information on the property and it is a bit of buyer beware.

which is why its even more important to employ a good solicitor , ive been through four solicitors in the past decade and its taught me that most of them are very mediocre , they get queasy at the sight of anything which isnt pure vanilla and seem content to simply advise their clients to run a mile rather than try and work around a problem , heaven forbid they try and fix something

we really need to have higher expectations when it comes to solicitors and the service they provide , heaven knows they charge enough

Sometimes, running the mile is the best thing to do.

remember - ya gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em, no when to walk away and know when to run!

most solicitors are far too content to simply advise against , they get paid regardless , its a real pity more are not in tune with their clients appetite for risk , they say solicitors make terrible entrapeneurs as they seek to eliminate all risk in everything they do , thats their start and end point
