yellow water from taps??

When I see a semisealed system I think maybe there is a leak!
When I see an auto filling valve I know there is one!

What I could never understand with all this is, when someone buys a new house the pay good money for snagging, yet one of the biggest issues in a new house is the plumbing/heating and it gets ignored!
 
I just had a look at the pipework supplying the taps yesterday and noticed that there is a GB fitting on one of the connections for the cold tap. the cold tap is the one with the coloured water, coincidence maybe? or would the GB fitting cause the water to discolour? I am thinking this might be the problem, ideas anyone?
