window boards

hi guys
i am at the stage of plastering my self build timberframe.have tried the local hardware but they dont do window boards wide enough.mine are aprox 11" wide.i am wondering does anyone know if possible to get woodenones or will i just have to get sheets of mdf and work them to suit?
 
Ask if they stock nosed stair thread. They usually work out at 11.5" x 1.5".
Very expensive though. Depends whether you want a wood finish or are painting.
If the latter you would be better using Mdf
