I find this baffling... despite the CSSO figures about Dublin apartments dropping by 53% since peak prices how come at least some local authorities are not dropping their 'affordable' prices consideruing as well they're supposed to be for people who want to buy their first home?
Luckily I am in no rush to buy my first home...possibly give it a few years yet even but I know they say the councils are up to their eyes in debt but whats the point in leaving the prices stable and selling none...bc I regularly enough look at daft and they're all still up there some if not all have not dropped at all and obviously its not shifting them I dont know how they're financing their debt if they're not selling at all??
There's an area I'd love to buy in...though not in any rush considering the uncertainty and being in a relatively good position from that point of view but it makes no sense to me.....
