What is day to day living like during bankruptcy?

I feel it is inevitable that I will have to declare bankruptcy. It is more a case of when rather than if.

I am irish but live in UK fortunately.

I am wondering just how tough is that year ?
I read articles, but would love to hear from someone firsthand as to what it's actually like on a day to day / week to week basis.
I have read the guidelines, and while I didn't expect to be allocated much pocket money, it seems nearly impossible to exist.

Is it really a case of just existing and keeping alive for the year?

For the record I am single and have no dependants.

Ivan Yates has recently returned to Ireland after living in Wales for 16 months while his bankruptcy proceedings were progressing. He found it very difficult. Google and you will find interviews he has given. His family stayed in Ireland (I think) and he found that hard..

From what I can gather Ivan had an expenditure of 3100 pm, seems reasonable to me.
