Just wondering ,if you rent out a room in an apartment that you bought through affordable housing,when do you start paying tax, is there an allowance before you pay tax, someone said 6 K a year then everything above you pay tax
The ceiling is €10K and if the rental income exceeds €10K the whole lot becomes taxable. That €10K limit also includes (say) food and laundry (i.e. you couldn't charge your tenant €10K "rent" and €2K for meals and washing).
