Watermelon seeds - spit or swallow?

My girlfriend just loves to eat juicy watemelon but unfortunatly she likes to eat the seeds as well ,I have told her this is not good for her as the seeds are bad for your digestive system. What should she do spit or swallow ,whats best ?
 
I heard before that your appendix has the duty of holding on to the likes of these seeds etc etc - how true that is I'm not sure. If this is the case is she not speeding up the process of having her appendix removed ?
On another note if the bird "Dove" represents PEACE, what bird represents true love................................................Swallow!!
 
When we were children my mother used to tell us that if you ate seeds from an apple an apple tree would grow inside you and you would die.
The lying b**ch, I'll never trust her again!!!

Personally I'd prefer if my girlfriend always swallowed :)
