Bought my first property 3 years ago for 210,000 - currently valued at 280k.
I want to build on a site - I have no inheritance but I plan to approach an uncle in the next month with a few to purchasing one off him. All else fails I will look @ my area Laois/ Kildare.
Should I put my house on the market asap or wait until I have purchased a site? I am financially able to buy site for 150k without having to rely on my mortage provider!
I am aware of all the CGT/CAT issues in relation to the purchase of land off my uncle but is there any stamp duty issues?
Also any tips for approaching my uncle????
