Voluntary Work abroad...

hi, i'm planning a career break next year and would like to arrange voluntary work abroad for a 6 month period. Most agencies will only accept folk for 2 years or more unless you want to pay huge money for volunteering! Does anyone have any experience/ success with irish agencies?

Hi,

TV3 did a very good item recently on volunteering and this site got a mention
onlinevolunteering.org

For anyone interested in voluntary work in Ireland they also mentioned www.volunteeringireland.com

there's also a great site called www.i-to-i.com which has some really interesting projects. The costs don't seem to be very prohibitive, mainly the cost of flights etc...
