I am considering purchasing a site in my locality to build a house with my fiancé. The site has an old stone shed on it (6x4m). In addition to building our own house, I would like to do up and extend on to the shed so that my mother can move in to live there in the future. Just a simple and small bedroom, open living/kitchen area and bathroom. Would there be any issues getting planning permission for a new build and a renovation project of residential nature on the same site in my name?
