Re: The Grange Stamullin - any info

Looked at a unit in the new commercial development in the center of the village. During my research I found many stories detailing frequent and serious flooding in the village. If you put 'Stamullen Flooding' into search engine you'll find links into articles in the Drogheda Independent on the subject. When I drove up to the village and had a look around I was struck by the amount of relatively newly built houses being sold on. Perhaps I am reading to much into it. I am not familiar with the exact location of The Grange but I would think it a good idea to call on neighbouring houses and shops in the area to ask of their experiences generally and in this regard.

Re: The Grange Stamullin - any info

I have a number of friends that live in the Grange/Forgehill. They find Stamullen nice and go to Balbriggan and Drogheda to do there shopping and socialising. They have all said that Stamullen is only a starting point to get them on the property ladder so it is ideal for first time buyers. The house prices in Stamullen also have increased alot over the last few months. If you dont mind commuting to Balbriggan or Drogheda, Stamullen is a quieter option but if you would like to be in the centre of thing i would advise Balbriggan.

Re: The Grange Stamullin - any info

I live in Stamullen for the last seven months and I love it. Its a nice quite area compared to Balbriggan and would definately recommend it for any first time buyer. I would go as far as saying I can't see myself moving out of Stamullen not for the foreseeable future anyway.

Me too.

The reason so many new houses went on the market was because they nearly doubled in price.

The flooding comes from the river Delvin bursting it banks, usually only affects the Stedalt Cross and Gough’s corner which is where the turn off for Forgehill is on the Gormanstown road.
