But it’s a different country outside of the EU with its own currency.

It’s not that much more relevant than posting Australian or South African rates.

The danger is people get the wrong end of the stick and convert Euros to Sterling to avail of these rates, only to get hammered on FX conversions and potentially lose on the FX overall.
 
The UK base rate is 5.25%.

From the table above, savers in the UK can get retail savings rates greater than the base rate.

The base rate in the EZ is 4% or 4.5%.

In Ireland, in the domestic market (not Raisin), I have not checked, but I'd say 3% is the max?


So, as is often the case, the lack of competition here leads to worse value.
