Sky+ box is changing TV aspect ratio

This has been happening me for a while. When I switch on the TV and box, the aspect ratio changes from the default "Wide" setting to the "4:3" ratio. It's annoying because I always have to change it back to get the image to fill the screen normally. There was a similar thread in Boards.ie that I contributed to, but very few answers as to why this might be happening.
By the way this was also happening with my old normal Sky box.

Sorry no answer for you but it happens on my old tv (approx 6yrs old) too when watching certain channels on Sky. It doesn't happen on my newer tv (approx 8mths old) though. Would love to hear if theres anything possible I can do to stop this.
