I had an uninsulated copper tank in a previous rental, put a 30 quid bag on it and literally had hot water for 2 days. Will probably do same for this one.Those older copper tanks with the green factory foam aren't actually great for insulation.
Wrap an old duvet around it. It saved me roughly 0.5 KWh a day.
