Sallins

I have just moved to Sallins and was wondering what anyone else in the area thinks of the place.

More specifically what are the nice pubs, restaurants and things to do in the area.

Hi Ballyman,
We've lived in Sallins since 97 and love it, there is no real supermarket as such, nearest is naas or clane, clane easier to get to as traffic in naas can be crap, 3 pubs in village, all ok except the big one!! Ther are plans for supermarket, hotel on Millbanks site and the new hotel will open soon in Kerdiffstown. Traffiic in village can be crap from 5-6.30 in evening but it moves.

Whats wrong with the big one? I presume this one is the one with the smalll car park to the side of it along the canal???

There will also be a new supermarket & other small retail outfits opening up in the new development called the 'waterways', the other side of the train station, although this will prob. be early next year.
