A relation is considering returning to Ireland from Singapore. He left as a young man having cashed in his pension contibutions.

Anyone know what his chances might be for a non contributary old age pension?

You'd need to post details of his contribution history I'd imagine. Also - I'm not sure what, if any, agreement might be in place to give PRSI credits in respect of social insurance payments (if any) paid in Singapore.

He cashed in his payments so presumably has wiped out his history. And there is no pension n Singapore, I believe.

"cashed in his payments"
This is what he said.
But what does he/this mean? Is he saying that he got a refund of PRSI contributions? (Is that even possible?). Or something else such as a refund of personal/private pension contributions? You really need to provide more detailed information for people to comment usefully.
